Yamada Jun Shihan was sent by the Aikikai Foundation and Aikido World Headquarters to Malaysia with the blessings of
the second-generation Doshu, Kisshomaru Ueshiba in 1971.  Yamada Shihan started teaching at Rumah Sarawak, the official residence
of the former Chief Minister of Sarawak, Tun Abdul Rahman Yaacob, under the name of Malaysia Aikikai.
Now, Shihan continues developing Aikido in Kuala Lumpur. Akademi Aikido Jyuku is the official name of this organization.
In September 2007, Shihan celebrated his 35th anniversary of Aikido in Malaysia.

Aikido is the art of assimilation and unification according to the way of
chivalrous spiritual harmony. Therefore there are no duels, no struggles and no opponents.
There is only harmonious action of one's spirit with the universe.
